Iggy London

Whether it’s original poetry from the likes of Kai Isaiah Jamal for Harrods or getting the iconic New York native Mary J Blige to provide voiceover for Timberland’s Built for the Bold, Iggy London has a deep awareness of authentic cultural icons, and scenes that grow from the ground up.

After years practicing law and with a deep love of poetry - spoken and visual - Iggy decided to pursue his interest in filmmaking and created the breakthrough short Velvet (2018). Drawn to capturing stories that exist on the margins of society, Velvet paints a poetic and painful picture of inner city life, death and above all hope.

Across commercial, short film or music video Iggy captures the beauty in those universal truths that bind us to a sense of shared experience and humanity. Drawing out the nuance and authenticity of everyday life in his visual style and camera techniques. Iggy has been recognised by the likes of i-D, Highsnobiety, Hunger Magazine, Dazed and The Guardian. His BBC Films short Area Boy premiered at Venice Film Festival and London Film Festival in the official short film competitions. Passionate about creating work across different mediums he released his first book project Mandem in early 2023.
