Jake Schreier

Jake Schreier is an Emmy nominated television, feature film, music video and commercial director. His iconic Kendrick Lamar short film "We Cry Together," with incredible performances by Kendrick and Taylour Paige, won the Grand Prix for Film Craft at the Cannes Lions 2023.

Jake directed and executive produced the A24 hit TV series "Beef" and earned a 2023 Emmy nomination for Best Direction. The series (featuring Steven Yeun and Ali Wong) depicts an incident of road rage that escalates and slowly consumes the lives of the two people involved.

His striking music videos for artists like Kendrick Lamar, Justin Bieber, Kanye, Haim, Benny Blanco, Cashmere Cat, Chance the Rapper, and Francis and the Lights are known for unexpected camera movement, long takes, and unique lighting compositions. His videos have earned him a series of awards including Best Pop Video for the UK MVAs and multiple Gold Clios.

In 2012 Schreier completed his feature film directorial debut with "Robot & Frank", starring Frank Langella, Susan Sarandon, James Marsden, Liv Tyler, and Peter Sarsgaard. The film premiered at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival, winning the Alfred P. Sloane Prize. He has directed episodes for a range of TV shows including the Michel Gondry produced "Kidding" (starring Jim Carrey), the FX comedy series "Dave" and the upcoming "Star Wars: Skeleton Crew" for Disney+.

He has been commissioned to create global campaigns for a host of diverse clients including Beats By Dre, Playstation, Levis, Verizon, and HP to name a few.

Schreier is currently in prep on the Marvel film Thunderbolts, starring Florence Pugh, Steven Yeun, David Harbour, Sebastian Stan and Julia Louis Dreyfus.
