Winner of the BAFTA breakthrough director award in 2019, Jamie Jones started making films in 2000.
Drawn to the complex stories that unfolded in and around his hometown of Swansea, his first documentary brought to light a theme often addressed in his films: why poverty so often evokes violence. His documentaries and films have won numerous short film awards and his commercial work includes deeply researched documentaries as seen in his work for Barclays and The Guardian and his recent series featuring Paralympians as part of a campaign for the Paris 2024 Paralympics.
