Caroline brings a multitude of experiences from the world of fashion into the craft of directing. She is a self-taught writer and director with agency experience as a creative who has built a strong commercial portfolio, including high-profile jobs such as Nike, Loewe, i-D, Wrangler, and Roberto Cavalli.

Her ability to transform scripts into her own unique style has earned her multiple awards, including a D&AD wood pencil, several ADCN Lamps, and a Clio and Webby, as well as Shots Director of the Year in 2021.

Caroline’s passion for directing was sparked by her background in the fashion industry, which brought a unique perspective to her work. Her first film, LoveStories – Bo, was featured on Nowness and earned a staff pick, setting the stage for a career focused on crafting stylish, visually stunning content.

Despite her success in the fashion and advertising worlds, Caroline can’t to be pigeonholed. She is interested in exploring a wide range of subjects and genres, and enjoys every step of the creative process, with a particular passion for the concept development stage.

In addition to her creative work, Caroline is committed to improving the industry for underrepresented creators. She served as the Dutch local ambassador for Free the Work from 2018-2022, working to build a more inclusive and equitable landscape for her colleagues. While she has passed the baton on to new ambassadors, Caroline continues to mentor and support up-and-coming creatives.
